Summer is such a wonderful time that I get with my son. During these warm summer days my son and I do so many wonderful things together. One of our favorite things to do together is to work in the garden, and I know for him a big part of that is watching the tomatoes grow and eating them. Other activities we will be enjoying this summer are bicycling, hiking, swimming, fishing, camping and our new favorite baseball.
A few weeks back I figured out that my son has a natural talent for hitting a ball and for catching and throwing, so we’re going to practice baseball over the summer. Hopefully this coming weekend I will get a chance to take him fishing, which I know he enjoys very much. Once our RV is finished with its remodel our goal is to take it camping later this summer and in early fall. Another really great activity that we all enjoy doing together is riding a four wheeler through the wooded trails and fields of this beautiful property.
Unfortunately today I am suffering from a nasty head cold, but regardless of that and the rain we decided to watch the first Harry Potter movie. We all love to sit down together as a family and eat popcorn and watch movies together. Family activities together are extremely important to myself and my family and we enjoy doing a wide variety of activities together. At different times of the year and throughout the different seasons we change what we’re doing together. During the summer it’s one type of activities and then fall and the winter are different activities as well as the spring.
Hopefully reading this inspires my readers to take more time to be with their family members and friends and to make it a priority to celebrate those relationships.
