This year Jeremiah Poncek and I have started to learn about mushrooms. This seems to be a wonderful year for their growth and we have seen a wide variety of them in the woods. I thought I would share some pictures of them with everyone today and if anyone knows what they are please share the information with us. We have discovered and confirm the identity of one as chicken of the woods, which we are excited about because they are edible and delicious. We are slowly identifying the others and learning all the tricks to doing this and the process is very fascinating. If anyone has any good mushroom books or field guides to suggest please feel free.
