Multitasking While Making Jams and Jellies

If you weren’t aware of this about me I am an extremely hard worker and I come from a long line of tough Iowa farm women. It has always been my belief that any problem in life can be overcome with enough hard work and a sense of perseverance. With everything going on right now I’m keeping myself busy with things that I feel are important like writing my thoughts and sharing them, teaching people gardening, working on getting seeds started for my garden, healing and energy work, and of course canning. I have officially started my second cycle of canning and right now I am working on a very beautiful red current jelly.

I’m a firm believer in multitasking and while I’m making these jams and jellies I’m also talking to Facebook friends on the other side of the world that have had their communities hit hard by the virus and comforting them, I’m caring for my two children who are home now because school is closed in my state, of course I’m doing cooking and cleaning, and I am posting useful and heartfelt information online in order to help people through what’s going on.

On a further note about the jams and jellies I’m going to be making here’s my list – current, elderberry, strawberry, blueberry, black cherry, northern Ashberry, apple, crab apple, apple butter, crab apple butter, plum, mango, wild strawberry, sweet potato, orange and tangerine marmalade, peach and papaya.

It was my plan to see about selling these items at the local farmers market and online this year. But, with everything going on I’m going to be checking into local food pantry’s to see if they need donations of this and other kinds of food. I may also see about posting a listing online in my local area to see who needs food assistance.
