For the past few years Dereck and I have gone out on a weekly basis to spend what I call a mother and son night together. We do a wide variety of things everything from going out to eat, shopping for a special gift for him, going to a park or a play area, going to the public library to check out books and movies and to play with kids and our favorite is going to a fun movie. Lately we have been going to the public library a lot since it’s got wetter and colder outside and we have been checking out movies and books together that we read and watch together. Tonight we went out and got food together and a special ice cream dessert at a local ice cream parlor.
After that we went to the public library, which was decorated special for Halloween and Dereck got to play with tons of kids then afterwords our plan is to see The Addams Family movie. Every week as a loving Mother I spend the most of the time with my son helping him do his homework, reading to him and having him read at night, making sure he takes a shower and brush his teeth, clean his room, eats healthy food, goes to necessary doctors appointments, and on top of all that he and I spend this quality time together doing a wide variety of things. This quality time as well as any other time I get to spend with my son is precious to me especially when he starts school because I get to see him less.
