Reading to and with your children…

My son and I have developed a habit of reading to and with him every night. During the Halloween season my son and I pick out at the public library a wide variety of spooky and autumn seasonal books. This is an activity that I recommend for all parents with their children to encourage their children to read and grow their skills. My son and I exchange out books sometimes once a week and sometimes every other week. Going to the library to pick out these books as well as movies and to play and interact with other children has become a highlight of us spending time together. Now that my daughter is a little bit older I also take her to the public library so that she can play with children and some of their amazing toys and get used to being around all the books and reading as well. This activity is something I strongly recommend also as a bonding experience with your children and it is an activity that costs nothing except for maybe some late fees.
