Have you ever done a task so much that it gave you a dream or nightmare that involves you doing the task while you slept? Well, that is how I would describe dealing with this year’s carrot crop. I haven’t grown carrots in years, but one type of carrot we grew this year got extremely fat or girthy as one of my Facebook friends stated. Rather than wasting them I decided to work with them and needless to say my right hand and shoulder suffered most of the abuse from peeling to chopping and my left hand turned completely orange. My chiropractor informed me that my shoulder would stay “angry” as he put as long as I was dealing with the carrots. Today I will be officially done with the carrots and we will have 35 quarts of carrots to show for all of our hard work, which will last us about two years. So, if I were going to have a nightmare while I slept at night about my carrot crop it would be of a giant killer carrot coming to eat me instead of me eating it. LOL! 😂
