Americans Hoarding

This is the Walmart in Medford, WI 20 minutes from me just so you know these shelves are usually totally full. I was here literally there yesterday and in one day it looks much worse. First is the paper isle, next the baby wipes, next the diapers, next the bread, next the canned vegetables. Others isles look like this the meat is going, isles with dried goods, convenience foods, medicine just to name a few.

Also baby formula is a bit thin and I was actually spiritually compelled to say to one woman to make sure she gets some while looking at her tiny baby and she said she was actually getting some for a friend who needs it. Walking around today picking up a few things I found myself looking at people really closely and every time I saw someone with small children especially little babies my heart sank.

I have two children and so when I look at other peoples sweet little ones and I think of them not having the things that they need it really punches me in the chest emotionally. When the one woman told me that she was buying formula for a friend it gave me a sense of hope that maybe we should all not just be buying for ourselves but for those who can’t afford to buy a necessary item at the moment.
